Promoting Global Health Equity

FEI information technology services and supports assist federal agencies in improving global health through research and disease monitoring activities. We have developed laboratory information management systems, national electronic medical record platforms and clinical tracking solutions for several agency and non-profit clients on the front lines of disease prevention and management for some of the world’s hardest hit populations.

Our information technology solutions support U.S. agencies and non-profits working in 10 countries on multiple continents. Our commitment to providing barrier-free health and human services extends to these global health initiatives and we are proud to partner with experts bringing lifesaving solutions to vulnerable populations around the world.

“You are showcasing the power of technology to bring services to people. It is a real-world example of the U.S. government’s goal to help drive equity between and within countries by catalyzing investments in infrastructure.”

Our International Impact

Whether the project spans multiple continents or is localized to a city or region, we support groups providing public health care and services to those that need it most.

FEI partnered with USAID to enhance the capabilities and expand the use of the Kingdom of Eswatini’s electronic medical record and client management system to better monitor and track patients with HIV and TB.

Fighting the HIV/AIDS Battle in Eswatini

In our interconnected world, an infectious disease outbreak can all too easily become a pandemic – a reality recently demonstrated by the rapid, worldwide spread of Sars-CoV-2 (COVID-19) in the early months of 2020.

FEI Systems Provides Surge Support During COVID-19 Pandemic

FEI developed and implemented the main system functions of the REDS Data Coordination Center, which consists of a central laboratory, five domestic blood centers and two international studies with sites in China, South America, South and Sub-Saharan Africa and the U.S.

Building strong relationships with our partners allows us to be a continual asset to them as projects evolve and the needs of beneficiaries change. This is best shown in our long-standing partnership with Johns Hopkins University to assist their work abroad to research, track and treat HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis (TB) and other diseases.

We built and maintain a laboratory management information system for the Joint Clinical Research Centre (JCRC) based in Kampala, Uganda and one of the largest antiretroviral therapy clinics in sub-Saharan Africa.
